On Tuesday, UEFA officially announced the nominees for the 2015 Team of the Year.
Despite the fact that the organization’s president is currently suspended and could be banned for life, UEFA officially announced the 2015 Team of the Year nominees. After their UEFA Champions League triumph in May, it is no surprise that Barcelona has the most representation on the list, with a total of eight nominees plying their trade in Catalonia.

Interestingly, Juventus have both the youngest and oldest players on the list with Frenchman, Paul Pogba, who is just 22-years-old, and the 2006 World Cup winner, Gianluigi Buffon, who is now 37 years of age.

Premier League fans may be disappointed to discover that just five players currently playing in England made the list, but with their disappointing performances in Europe last season, it shouldn’t be much of a shock.
Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite players and who they would like to see make the final cut through the official UEFA website. The deadline to get your votes in is at 7 a.m. ET on Tuesday, January 5, with the final UEFA 2015 Team of the Year to be officially unveiled on Friday, January 8.
