The Dab is dangerous for those not named Cam Newton
By Andy Erk
Save embarrassment and avoid the Dab this Holiday Season.
The Dab, a dance started in the great city of Atlanta, Georgia. The Dab is one of those dances that make people everywhere smile because it so accessible and simple that guys like me think we have a shot at looking good on the dance floor. However, the Dab should probably be saved for those who actually know what they are doing.
Who is doing the Dab, you may wonder. Well, everyone. It has become especially prominent in the sports world, where no matter who you are, you’ve done it at least once.
Most recently, Cam Newton brought the dance to the forefront while using it during his touchdown celebrations.

After Newton publicized the dance, this past week a lot of people have started to use the Dab.
Here is a list of some recent Dabs by athletes and commentators trying to learn how to be cool like Newton.
Chris Berman basically ended the craze by attempting to join a party he should never have been invited to.
Paul Finebaum is in the same boat as Chris Berman and should probably try and pay to remove all the videos of his attempted Dab on the internet.
Ron Rivera is at least respectable in the use of guidance from his players, and got his head in a place that makes his Dab look kind of nice.

My personal favorite from recent history is Roy Williams. Poor Roy, he tried so hard to be cool, but he failed so hard. Roy, stick to the X’s and O’s and leave the dancing to the players.
Remember folks, if you’re trying to impress your family this Holiday Season, think twice before Dabbing. Remember all of these examples before embarrassing yourself forever.
