The St. Louis Rams have released an official statement about Stedman Bailey being shot on Tuesday.

The St. Louis Rams have had a rather disappointing season so far. However, that disappointment was cast aside prior to the Thanksgiving holiday in lieu of cold reality when wide receiver Stedman Bailey was shot in Miami on Tuesday. However, it appears that Bailey’s injuries will not be life threatening. The Rams have released an official statement on Bailey’s situation.

"“We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening,” the Rams announced, via StLouisRams.com. We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more.”"

Alongside Bailey in the car were a driver and some young children in the backseat. The vehicle’s driver is currently in critical condition after having shielded the children from any of the gunshots.

For the season, Baley has 12 receptions for 182 receiving yards this season and one touchdown in eight games for St. Louis. He has caught just over half the passes thrown to him, as he has been targeted 23 times by the Rams’ revolving door of quarterbacks.
