The Carolina Panthers beat the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving day.
On Thanksgiving, the Cowboys were the ones who turned out to be turkeys. Despite a 3-7 record, the Cowboys were favored over the undefeated Carolina Panthers and got hammered, losing 33-14 at AT&T Stadium. Even more troubling was the loss of quarterback Tony Romo, who again injured his clavicle and did not return.
Romo was only in his second game back after returning from a broken clavicle that he sustained in Week 2. Before getting hurt, Romo was terrible, throwing three interceptions including a pair of pick-sixes to Kurt Coleman and Luke Kuechly. At 3-8 and with Romo likely out for a spell, the Cowboys can get ready for the golf course.

Three Stars
1. Luke Kuechly
Kuechly is perhaps the best inside linebacker in the National Football League. The superstar intercepted Tony Romo twice, once running it back for a score. Kuechly also came up with a team-high seven tackles.
2. Cam Newton
Newton was terrific, continuing to put himself in the mix for the Most Valuable Player discussion. Newton completed 16-of-27 throws for 183 yards without an interceptions. Newton also rushed for 46 yards and scored a touchdown, punctuated by that silly dab dance.
3. Rolando McClain
McClain’s effort will quickly be forgotten by most, but he played a great game. The inside linebacker led both teams in tackles with 12, including three for a loss. McClain was all over the field, helping Dallas despite the losing result.
Odds
Dallas was favored by a point and did not come close to covering the spread.
Next Week
Carolina is taking a trip to the Big Easy to face the New Orleans Saints, while Dallas is visiting the Washington Redskins.
