The New York Jets will be without star cornerback Darrelle Revis in Sunday’s divisional showdown with the Miami Dolphins.

There is bad news for the New York Jets, as cornerback Darrelle Revis has been ruled out of this week’s game with a concussion. The Jets enter a crucial divisional contest with the Miami Dolphins this week.

The Jets dominated the Dolphins in London earlier in the season, which resulted in the team firing head coach Joe Philbin. Since then, Miami has been able to find its feet under interim head coach Dan Campbell, while New York has fallen away.

Since beating the Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in Week 4, the Jets have won just twice in six games. Any hopes of a playoff berth are fading away, and they suffered another setback at the hands of T.J. Yates and the Houston Texans in Week 11.

Losing Revis is a huge blow for the Jets defense. He has been a dominant presence in the defensive backfield for New York this year, although he was burned for a 61-yard touchdown by DeAndre Hopkins last week.

Fellow cornerback Buster Skrine should be good to go. He is on the injury report with a shoulder injury, but has practiced fully all week. The Jets can’t afford to go without Skrine this week.

The loser of this game will likely be out of playoff contention. The Jets aim to end a two-game losing skid to keep themselves in the hunt. Without Revis, that won’t be easy.
