Anthony Davis suffered a leg injury on Friday night against the Los Angeles Clippers
At 4-11 on the season entering Friday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, things were already bad for the New Orleans Pelicans. The only thing that could make matters worse were to be if they were to lose one of the more promising young stars in the game, Anthony Davis.
Well, while it’s not known whether or not Davis could be out for an extended period of time, there was a scary incident on Friday evening in this one.
In the third quarter as he was running down the court, Davis collided with Chris Paul and subsequently suffered a leg injury.
From this point, things got a little more serious as Davis had to be carried off the court to the locker room.
Again, just when you think things can’t get any worse, something like this happens. In an already down season early here in 2015-16, this would be the ultimate death blow to a team that showed so much promise last season by making the playoffs.
There is still a lot to learn here about the injury to Davis, and as more information does become available, we will be sure to keep you updated.
Update: Davis suffered a knee contusion and was questionable to return.
