Frank Beamer goes out in style with the Dab after Virginia win (Video)

Frank Beamer just ended the Dab game forever
Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer will be retiring after this season, and the Hokies gave him plenty of reason to celebrate since they came away with a road win against Virginia in their regular-season finale. This improved their record to 6-6, which makes them eligible for participation in a bowl game. Beamer has established himself as the most respected coach in Hokies football history as he made them a winning program while taking them to a national championship game in 1999.
Although Virginia Tech has not matched this sort of success for a while, the Hokies players sent their beloved coach off in the best way possible. They carried Beamer off the field while fans gave him a standing ovation in his last home game.
Beamer celebrated with his players in the locker room by performing the newly popular “Dab Dance.” Here is a video of Beamer doing an amusing rendition of this dance.
The Dab has become popular in 2015 among pro athletes such as Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who angered the Tennessee Titans by performing this in a win against them. However, Newton also amused plenty of football fans by doing this. Beamer is sure to draw plenty of laughs with his version too, and this further shows his ability to relate well to college players. He performed this dance perfectly, and he topped it off by wearing his hat sideways.
The Hokies will be moving on from Beamer after 29 seasons, and his version of The Dab is sure to make players and fans miss his presence even more after he retires. Virginia Tech has already hired his replacement though, as Memphis head coach Justin Fuente will be the next man in charge.
