Here is the NFC Wild Card picture after Week 12 has come to a conclusion.

Week 12 of the NFL regular season ended early for the NFC since they’re not playing in either the Sunday or Monday night games. That means we know what the playoff picture looks like right now as Week 12 has come to an end and we turn our eyes towards Week 13.

Right now, the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals sit in first and second respectively and would get the first-round byes. The Minnesota Vikings at 8-3 would be the third seed and the Washington Redskins at 5-6 would be the NFC East champions holding a tiebreaker over the Giants.

The two Wild Card teams would be the Green Bay Packers at 7-4 and the Seattle Seahawks at 6-5, if the season ended today.

The Atlanta Falcons are also 6-5, but the Seahawks get the nod over the NFC South team based on best win percentage in conference games.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the second team out at 5-6, and gets the highest spot in the standings of the 5-6 teams, which includes the New York Giants and Chicago Bears. They get the nod based on the tiebreaker for best win percentage in conference games.

Kind of crazy to think that the Chicago Bears at 5-6 and in 10th place in the NFC standings are still in the playoff hunt, the Wild Card race is far from over.
