Houston Texans

Who says you can’t go home? Johnny Manziel has had success in the state of Texas. He’s practically a hero at Texas A&M. Johnny hasn’t seen the success in the NFL that he saw in college football. Maybe Johnny just needs to go back to his happy place: Texas. The Texans need a franchise quarterback. They have a talented team around them and their quarterbacks have held them back since the days of David Carr. Why not take a shot on a talented, young quarterback like Manziel?

Manziel would have a dynamic receiver in DeAndre Hopkins to work with that he hasn’t had since he had Mike Evans in college. He briefly had Josh Gordon in Cleveland but was never able to get any chemistry with him. With Hopkins athleticism and speed, it’s not hard to see Manziel and Hopkins hitting it off right away.

The Texans already have Brian Hoyer, but let’s face it, Hoyer hasn’t set the world on fire despite having some good talent around him. Perhaps it’s time for the Texans to hand the reigns to a much more talented, cheaper, and younger quarterback. How appropriate would it be for Johnny Manziel to return to Texas and lead the Texans to the promised land?
