NBA superstar Kobe Bryant already has a job offer for when he retires after this year’s season.

Basketball superstar Kobe Bryant has enjoyed a long and successful career in the NBA. Playing in his 20th season, all with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant recently announced that this would be his last. Knowing that he will now have some spare time on his hands come spring, a Major League Baseball team jumped at the opportunity to offer Bryant a chance at a new job.

The Cleveland Indians took to Twitter on Monday to show their interest in Kobe, complete with a picture of what he’d look like in their digs.

Bryant is sure to get into the NBA Hall of Fame on his first try, but that doesn’t mean he would have equal success on the baseball diamond.

Michael Jordan, the player that Kobe always looked up to and is most commonly compared to, famously quit basketball in 1993 after a “three-peat” in the NBA, but was back on the hardwood for the start of the 1996 season. All he did then was complete yet another “three-peat.”

While Jordan was obviously successful on the court, he struggled on the baseball diamond, prompting the return to his first sport.

There’s a very high probability that Bryant doesn’t follow in Jordan’s footsteps by trying a baseball career. However, it’s still a clever move by the Indians and one that surely brought a smile to Bryant’s face.
