NFL Power Rankings: Panthers are new No. 1 entering Week 13

If you haven’t already, make a point to watch the Oakland Raiders play before the season is over. Derek Carr very well might be the game’s next great quarterback, and his running mate Amari Cooper is going to be a special, special player in the National Football League.

And what about this cat named Seth Roberts. Dude just casually rolls through the Tennessee Titans with six receptions, 113 yards and two touchdowns. Look out defenses in the AFC West, but the Oakland Raiders might just have two dynamic rookies on their hands. Paired with Michael Crabtree and there hasn’t been this kind of talent roaming the field in Oakland since the days of Tim Brown, James Jett and Jerry Rice.

Oakland’s defense, which has been spotty on the year, came out and laid the lumber against the Titans. They made sure to bang the hell out of Marcus Mariota and pick off a couple of passes while at it.

For a team traveling east and playing in the 1:00 p.m. slot to post such a great performance, well, that says a good deal about the club’s mettle. Jack Del Rio is putting together something special down by the Bay. And while they might not always win as convincingly as against Tennessee, they sure are exciting.
