Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown is out for the year after suffering a broken collarbone against the Baltimore Ravens.
Josh McCown is now done for the year after breaking his collarbone on Monday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. McCown went down in the fourth quarter after taking repeated big hits from multiple Ravens players. He attempted to continue, but eventually had to sit out. Autsin Davis came into the game in relief and led a Browns’ fourth quarter comeback, putting them in with a chance of winning with a last-minute field goal. In true Cleveland fashion, however, the field goal was blocked and Will Hill returned it for the game winning touchdown.
The news, reported by Adam Schefter, is a major blow for the Browns and in particular for McCown. Throughout the year he has battled with the enigmatic Johnny Manziel, and when fit, has started the majority of games.
However, this injury now gives Johnny football the opportunity to perhaps get an extended run of games down the stretch.

The season is over for the Cleveland Browns who now sit in the basement of the NFL with an atrocious 2-9 record. With Josh McCown out for the year, the season now becomes a rebuilding process. That rebuilding process begins with their 2014 first-round pick.
Love him or hate him, Manziel deserves an opportunity to see what he can do, and Cleveland have nothing to lose. Although Davis entered the fray on Monday, it is anticipated that Manziel will get the start and will lead the Browns down the stretch. Interesting times for those in Cleveland.
