At least Dirk Nowitzki still has his sense of humor

Dirk Nowitzki started to fade at the end of last season, and most people thought it was the beginning of the end for the best European player the league has ever seen. And while his time in the Association is winding down, he’s spent the first month of the season letting everyone and anyone know he’s not done yet.

He’s putting up 17 points and 7 rebounds a game while playing 30 minutes a night and shooting 50 percent. Just last night he dropped a 28 point, 7 rebounds, 6 assist performance in the Mavericks’ win over the Trail Blazers. Point is, the dude can still play.

Unfortunately, no matter what age you are, sometimes embarrassing things are going to happen to you. Even when you’re Dirk Nowitzki.

C.J. McCollum hit him with a filthy crossover that sent the big German stumbling and spinning the wrong way. Uh, yeah, that’s pretty embarrassing.

The good news, however, is that ole Dirk still has his sense of humor.

Long live Dirk.
