The Charlotte Hornets forgot about Stephen Curry for a play.

If there’s one person that no team in the NBA should forget about, it’s Stephen Curry. The reigning NBA Champion and MVP is able to hit a shot from just about anywhere on the floor, including all the way back next to the locker room.

Well the Hornets somehow forgot that Stephen Curry was a thing that exists, and boy did they look foolish for doing so. After Curry had been burning the Hornets with ridiculous shots from wherever he pleased all night, the Hornets either stopped caring about guarding him, or simply forgot him.

Well it’s easy to understand their reasoning for the former, but it was likely the latter.

There’s probably not too many lapses in judgement on defense that you can’t get lucky and overcome, but this is probably one of those situations where a team is likely to get burned.

Just look at the way everyone is out there standing on the court, staring at Curry like they forgot they were supposed to guard him. Maybe their strategy is that since Curry can hit from anywhere he wants on the court, maybe they will make it tough on him by leaving him wide open for three.

It’s so crazy that it might almost work. Just kidding, it doesn’t. Stephen Curry would go on to burn the Hornets for 28 points in the third quarter.

Yeah, might want to at least attempt some semblance of defense.
