Credit Todd Bowles for battling hard as hell with the team he fields. After Geno Smith was punched in the mouth during the preseason, the team could’ve folded under the weight of dissension and strife. While obviously not the best squad in the NFL, the Jets worked up formulas to steal some ballgames. Chris Ivory is a legit back, and someone whom you can build a ball-control team around.

With the offenses that feature Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy, Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews, the Jets need defensive firepower to slow down the speedy AFC East.

Leonard Floyd is an interesting prospect. At 6’4 and 231 pounds he definitely needs to gain a little bulk to hold up as a linebacker in the National Football League. Then again, that’s what strength and conditioning coaches are for.

Floyd is relentless when attacking the ball, and possesses great burst off the jump. He has excellent hands, which helps him shed blocks rather easily, and is a good speed rusher. He makes a living in the backfield and is no stranger to sacking the quarterback.

A little girth to be able to run with the big dogs in the NFL, and Floyd will be an excellent, low-risk draft pick.
