The Denver Broncos are staring down the barrel of a severe overhaul. The winds of change are blowing quite strong. Denver’s defense is quite stout, but the offense needs help. Peyton Manning is on the way out, Brock Osweiler is a question mark, the running back position is inconsistent, the o-line needs help, and having more skill players never hurts.

Jerald Hawkins is a big dude with a mean streak to boot. He’s played in the baddest country in the land, and gone up against some of the most stout, NFL-caliber defenses in college football (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, etc.).

He’s got good footwork and does nice work holding his lane. LSU was expected to be dead in the water due to its quarterback situation in 2015. Any extended pressure and Brandon Harris was going to fold like a lawn chair. Yet thanks to Hawkins and his line mates, such as Vadal Alexander, Harris was afforded enough time to read progressions and mature under center.

Oh yeah, Hawkins also paved roads for wunderkind Leonard Fournette – never a bad thing to have on the resume.
