10. Leonard Fournette vs. Auburn (9/19)

Up until Leonard Fournette and the LSU Tigers were absolutely dismantled in Tuscaloosa in a game that seemed to derail their entire season, Fournette was the runaway frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy. Obviously Fournette’s production alone had a lot to do with that, but it was also electrifying plays like the ones he made in Week 3 of the season against the Auburn Tigers that put him in that position.

It’d be great to just pick one run from Fournette’s day against the Tigers, but it’s unfair considering just how ridiculous he was on the afternoon. He had three monstrous runs that could be considered plays of the season.

His first huge run of the day came when he just blew by the Auburn defense to break off an enormous chunk of yardage. It wasn’t just Fournette getting to the second level, but how he blew by the safety at the defensive level with his cut to the right side of the field as well.

Fournette blew by defenders on his second big run of the day as well, but the real highlight came once he got down near the goal line. He embraced the contact of an Auburn defensive back and just plowed straight through him before walking it in for six.

His finale of the trio of big runs was absolutely incredible. He popped out to the left sideline on a carry and seemed to be stopped when a Tigers defender had a bead on him. However, Fournette just ducked his shoulder and literally flipped the opposing player over his back before scoring again. It was a dominant play to cap off a dominant day for him and his team.
