Aaron Rodgers beat the Detroit Lions on a Hail Mary pass as time expired

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were getting trounced by the Detroit Lions for the majority of the night on Thursday Night Football from Ford Field. However, the Packers fought back from a huge deficit to get back in the game. That led to them having a drive with less than a minute left on the clock trailing by only two points.

After two plays there were only six seconds left on the clock and the Packers elected to throw a pass and try and keep the ball alive with laterals to get in position to score. It didn’t work, but Rodgers was taken down by his face-mask, keeping the game alive by giving Green Bay one more play. That’s when Rodgers uncorked the Hail Mary of his life from 61 yards away and this happened:

Rodgers legitimately threw the ball as high and as far as hey could to get that throw there and somehow it was right on the money to Richard Rodgers. That’s simply one of the most unbelievable throws and plays that we’ll see in the NFL.

It doesn’t get any more incredible than that; not only was the play remarkable, but it completed a 20-point comeback for the Packers to pick up the win. Just pure insanity.
