Coldplay to be Super Bowl 50 halftime performance act
By Jack Crosby
Coldplay will be the band bestowed with the honor of being the halftime act at Super Bowl 50.
While the NFL season is still going on, of course all eyes are on the end of the season and Super Bowl 50. With this being the golden anniversary of the largest event in sports, everyone has been wondering who the halftime act will be.
Well, now we know that the band performing at halftime of the biggest game in NFL history will be none other than … Coldplay.
There were a lot of names thrown around when it comes to who would be given this honor, including the possibility of Bruno Mars making a second appearance as a Super Bowl halftime performer, but in the end, Coldplay got the nod here.
It goes without saying that this comes as a bit of a shock, but this is the direction the NFL has decided to go for one of the biggest games in league history. Of course, there are still people that love to reference the infamous Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake incident, and they will say that this was the safe pick.
Either way, whether you love it or not, Coldplay will be your Super Bowl 50 halftime performance.
