New Arizona Diamondbacks home uniforms leak (Photo)
The new home uniforms for the Arizona Diamondbacks have leaked online
The Arizona Diamondbacks didn’t enjoy a great deal of success in 2015 as they finished third in the National League West and with a sub-par 79-83 record on the season. After not making the postseason since 2011, the Diamondbacks are looking to rebrand themselves and bring out a new look by changing up their uniforms a bit.
On Thursday night, the new home uniforms that will incorporate this new look for Arizona leaked online:
After seeing those home whites, you have to hope that the Diamondbacks plan to incorporate that logo seen on the shoulder into their other jerseys and into a ton of merchandise. The snake holding the baseball in its mouth is immediately one of the best logos in the league. It’s not too flashy, but fully incorporates the team in the city incredibly well.
Obviously having new uniforms doesn’t mean a great deal in terms of the team’s performance on the diamond. However, Paul Goldschmidt and company are going to be helping to kick off a new era for Diamondbacks baseball as these logos are incorporated into the franchise. There’s still more to be revealed, but Arizona fans have to be more than pleased with what they see here.
UPDATE (9:58 p.m. ET):
ESPN’s Darren Rovell has now given us a look at all four of the Diamondbacks’ uniform, including the away jerseys, the black alternates, and the teal alternates:
While the logo on the should shoulder still looks good, I can’t be too sure about the teal alternates. This is the Diamondbacks, not the Marlins that we are talking about here.
