The Green Bay Packers won on a Hail Mary over the Detroit Lions in the craziest finish of the season for the first time since 1991.

On Thursday Night Football, the Packers pulled off one of the biggest miracles in recent memory, stunning the Detroit Lions with a Hail Mary on the final play of the game. The contest would have been over, if only for a facemask penalty that allowed one untimed down.

Aaron Rodgers was able to scramble right and unloaded a prayer, which was answered by tight end Richard Rodgers on a 61-yard connection, giving the Packers a 27-23 win.

For the Lions, this puts them at 4-8 and completely out of the playoff mix. Meanwhile, the Packers were able to win the game and move to 8-4, putting them just a half-game behind the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North

Rodgers was having an average night until he threw the pass of the season, hitting Richard Rodgers with the Hail Mary in the front of the end zone with no time remaining. Rodgers threw for 270 yards and a pair of touchdowns, giving the Packers new life in the NFC North.

2. Matthew Stafford
