The Green Bay Packers (7-4) will travel to Ford Field to play the Detroit Lions (4-7) on Thursday Night Football in Week 13.

The Detroit Lions will host their division rival Green Bay Packers at Ford Field to kickoff Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season. Detroit since beating Green Bay in Week 10 in Lambeau Field have won three straight games. Green Bay, since starting the year out at 6-0 has dropped four of its last five games.

Green Bay (7-4) sits a game back of first-place Minnesota in the NFC North and control the first NFC Wild Card spot entering Week 13. Detroit is still technically alive at 4-7 on the year, but sit two games back of the 6-5 Seattle Seahawks for the final NFC Wild Card spot.

Detroit is the home underdog to Green Bay by 2.5 points. The Lions will need to rely on the resurgent offense of new offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, quarterback Matthew Stafford, and wide receiver Calvin Johnson to win this Thursday Night Football game to stay alive in the NFC. A 4-8 record would certainly knock the Lions out of an improbable playoff berth after starting the year 1-7.

A win for Green Bay would help the Packers keep pace with Minnesota and would put the football team in great position to make at worse an NFC Wild Card spot. The recently erratic offense of Green Bay has done the Packers in of late. Though Thursday Night Football games can get ugly, this game has the makings for one of the better contests on Thursday night this season.
