The Green Bay Packers (7-4) will play the Detroit Lions (4-7) at Ford Field on Thursday Night Football in Week 13.

In Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season, the Thursday Night Game will be between two bitter NFC North opponents in the Green Bay Packers (7-4) and the Detroit Lions (4-7). This game kickoffs at 8:25 PM ET at Ford Field and the game will air on both CBS and the NFL Network.

The Green Bay Packers enter their road game at Ford Field as a 2.5-point favorite over the Detroit Lions, according to OddsShark.com. 63% are in favor of Green Bay to beat Detroit on the road. The over/under in this Week 13 contest is at 47 points. 58% are in favor of the over in this game.

On November 15th, 2015, the Detroit Lions beat the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field for the first time since 1992. Detroit moved to 2-7 on the season in their 18-16 win over Green Bay and have since won three straight games.

Should Detroit, the home underdog in this game, come out victorious, this would be the first time since 1991 that the Lions completed a regular season sweep of the Green Bay Packers. In 1991, Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders was in year two in Detroit and Brett Favre was quarterbacking horribly for the Atlanta Falcons.

While Detroit is on a three-game winning streak, the Packers have lost four of five since starting out 2015 at 6-0. Green Bay sits a full game back of division-leading Minnesota in the NFC North and are only a game better than seventh place Atlanta in the NFC Wild Card race. Seattle holds the tiebreaker over Atlanta for the sixth seed in the NFC.

Taking the over seems a little safer than dealing with the spread. The Lions offense has thrived since quarterbacks coach Jim Bob Cooter relieved Joe Lombardi as Detroit’s offensive coordinator. Expect quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson to put up some points.

Green Bay is still probably the better team than Detroit. Taking the points and going with Detroit would seem like the way to go if the spread was four or greater. Since it’s a Thursday Night game, where the product on the field is at its sloppiest, probably stay away from this game’s line.
