Randall Cobb put the Green Bay Packers on the board with a touchdown off one of the most bizarre plays of the year.

On Thursday Night Football against the Detroit Lions, the Green Bay Packers got their first points of the game on one of the most bizarre plays of the season. After James Starks fumbled the ball near the goal line, Randall Cobb was in the right place at the right time to secure the ball in the end zone. With the score, the Packer’s scoreless drought ended after 69:16 of play.

As seen above, the Detroit defense forced the ball loose on a great defensive effort on third down, but the Packers fell on the ball. The score cut the Lions’ lead to 13 points with the made extra point. Overall, the Lions played great football on that play, but as we have seen countless times before, players just happen to be in the right place to come up with a big play.
