Tom Brady wears Ohio State gear after losing beat
By Phil Naegely
Due to Michigan’s loss to the Buckeyes over the weekend, Tom Brady had to pay for losing a bet.
The Michigan Wolverines have many well-known athletic alumni, including Tom Brady. The New England Patriots quarterback had to wear an Ohio State shirt during practice. He lost a bet when the Buckeyes defeated the Wolverines 42-13.
While he hated wearing something from a collegiate rival, it definitely isn’t the worst way to have to pay for losing a bet. There’s been worse punishments that have put athletes in an akward and embarrassing positions for the media and fans to see. For Brady, it was a simple jersey that dawn red and white, two colors that he hates as a Wolverine alumnus instead of some of the ridiculous costumes rookies wear.
Brady had fun with the punishment, but now has more serious issues to focus on. The Patriots lost their first game of the season on Sunday Night Football against the Denver Broncos. On top of that, the team as a whole is dinged and banged up and key players are out. Among them, TE Rob Gronkowski may not play this weekend against the Eagles after sustaining an injury on Sunday.
It was all fun and games for Brady as he was caught in Buckeyes gear for as many times as he could count on one hand. Maybe he will win the bet when the Wolverines take on the Buckeyes in college basketball this year.
