Warriors’ Harrison Barnes could be out for a while
Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers said during a radio appearance that Harrison Barnes could be out for a while.
The Golden State Warriors might be off to a 20-0 start, but they could still be without one of their key contributors for quite some time. During the Warriors’ win over the Phoenix Suns last week, forward Harrison Barnes hurt his ankle and had to be carried off the court.
It wasn’t quite known at the time just how long Barnes would be out for. For the team that is chasing history, it came as a big blow, as Barnes provides a key spark on offense from the forward spot.
Well, while the team was hoping he could be back soon, it might be a while before he is back. Warriors general manager Bob Myers said during his weekly radio appearance on 95.7 The Game, that the return of Barnes isn’t close.
That likely means it’s going to be a while before Barnes is back for the Warriors, as the team isn’t likely going to be rushing him back. With the big picture in mind, the Warriors want to have a team as healthy as possible for the stretch run of the season, which is where the schedule gets grueling.

Losing Barnes may not be as big of a blow to the team when they are absolutely stacked with talent at every position, but Barnes is a piece that the Warriors would rather have than not have on the court.
If his ankle is any indication at the moment, then it’s going to be a while before the Warriors will see Barnes back out on the basketball court providing production for them.
