Aaron Hernandez reportedly had a prison shank
Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was reportedly moved to a segregated unit after a knife was found in his cell.
Aaron Hernandez reportedly can’t stay out of trouble in prison. After a life of not being able to stay out of trouble, Hernandez eventually threw his life away and ended up in prison on murder charges.
Now, it looks as if he’s in trouble in prison, after a prison shank was found in his jail cell according to NBC 7 in Boston. After they found the shank, Hernandez was reportedly moved to a segregated unit.
"Aaron Hernandez has been moved to a segregated unit at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center after guards found a shank in his cell, according to sources.Corrections officers found the prison-made knife during a shakedown of his prison block.Sources told 7News’ Cheryl Fiandaca the incident happened on Thursday. The officers found the knife hidden in his cell.Hernandez was immediately taken out of general population and put into a segregated unit."
So it appears that Hernandez was either fearful for his safety and kept the shank for his protection, or wasn’t up to any good. Whatever the case may be, it looks like the corrections officers made the right decision to move him out of the general population right away.
It begs the question as to why a high-profile inmate like Hernandez was in general population in the first place, but whatever is going on, they obviously knew it was high time to move him into a different area.
The case of Hernandez is a sad one and a reminder that a great life can be thrown away over something stupid. With each passing story, the saga of Hernandez gets even sadder when putting every great opportunity he had in perspective.
From making millions to making prison shanks. That’s the life of Hernandez.
