Florida Gators vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida Gators will take over the Georgia Dome come Saturday afternoon as they do battle in one of the biggest games of every college football season: the SEC Championship Game. While the Gators may not have much to play for in terms of bowl season, Nick Saban’s Alabama team will essentially be looking to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Derrick Henry is likely the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy at this point and he’s looked the part for the Tide. However, Jake Coker is going to have to remain mistake-free against a Florida defense that has been a stalwart for most of the year. Vernon Hargreaves and that Gators defense will be looking for a strong showing, but Treon Harris will undoubtedly need to make plays for his team and score fare more prolifically than they have lately.

Keys to Victory
For Alabama, this game is going to continue to be about the Derrick Henry show being in full-effect. The Crimson Tide gave the ball to their Heisman Trophy candidate over 40 times in the Iron Bowl last week and, while he may be worn down a bit from that type of workload, Henry is without question Bama’s best offensive option. There’s almost no chance that they abandon this strategy anyway, but this strategy is also what will give them the best chance to win.
In terms of the Gators, they have to score points. That seems super simple and trivial, but it’s something that the Gators have struggled mightily in doing as they’ve only scored a combined 22 points over the past two weeks. Treon Harris is going to have to get the ball moving in whatever ways he can for the Gators offense and Jim McElwain is clearly going to have to pull some tricks out to be able to consistently make an impact against one of the best defenses in the country.

Prediction
With the way these two teams have been playing as of late, there really doesn’t seem like any feasible way that the Gators are going to win this. They haven’t been able to put up a great deal of points on anyone lately, much less against an incredible Crimson Tide defense.
Final Score: Florida Gators: 6, Alabama Crimson Tide: 30
