The Indiana Pacers are trying to trade Solomon Hill

The Indiana Pacers are trying to trade Solomon Hill after declining their team option on him this past summer.

Solomon Hill could be an asset to any growing team, and it looks like he may be available for any team that wants him. The Indiana Pacers, according to Marc Stein of ESPN, are looking to trade Hill. This follows the Pacers declining Hill’s team option this past summer, so it’s no surprise that he’s on the market, especially after his little playing and little production. Hill has not been given the opportunity to make a big impact in Indiana so far this season, and has scored just 11 total points so far this year.

Hill has only appeared in seven games, and played just 44 minutes so far, but he has the potential to do more. Last season for the Pacers he scored 8.9 points and brought in 3.8 rebounds in 29 minutes per game. Throughout his career he’s shot at above 40%, and can be a consistent swingman for a team looking for a little more offensive production. Hill could fit right into a team that may be growing.

NBC sports has pointed to the reason Hill hasn’t gotten his minutes this year: Paul George. George returned from an injury that kept him out of most of last season. This season he has done very well, scoring 26.5 points, and grabbing 8.2 rebounds per game so far this year.

Hill, just three years into his career, can definitely still find a place in their league, it’s just not clear where that place will be yet. One thing is for sure–it won’t be with the Indiana Pacers.
