After being diagnosed with cancer, Pittsburgh Panthers running back James Conner posted an inspirational message on Instagram.

The Pittsburgh Panthers were absolutely rocked with some incredibly tough news on Friday, when it was announced that running back James Conner had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. While it is sad news for a young talented running back, his incredible optimistic spirit continues to shine bright.

With everyone sending out their support to Conner, he returned the favor by posting an inspiring message on his Instagram account.

Conner, who was overwhelmed by the support, let everyone know that he’s ready to fight cancer and then get right back on the field to do battle every Saturday with his teammates.

Just to see the tremendous maturity, attitude and spirit that this young man has shows just how brave and courageous that he really is. Conner is a fighter and he’s certainly not going to let cancer get in the way of his dreams and goals.

Even more importantly is that with people suffering from Hodgkins Lymphoma all over the world, his message can serve as inspiration for those that are having a tough time of their own as they continue fight cancer themselves.

Attitudes are contagious, and James Conner’s is one that everyone should try to catch. If his heart is any indication, he’s going to take on cancer with the greatest fight he’s ever given.
