Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski ruled out vs the Philadelphia Eagles

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tom Brady will be without one of his most dangerous passing weapons when the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Tight end Rob Gronkowski has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
As Breer mentioned, the Patriots aren’t quick to rule players out two days before a game unless it’s a serious issue. While Gronk’s injury was less serious than it initially looked, it wouldn’t be surprising if this isn’t the only game the tight end will miss.
The Patriots have been bitten hard by the injury bug this season. Their offensive line is thin and the passing core has been banged up as well. Brady and the team struggled against the Denver Broncos last week due to injuries, but it isn’t the end of the world either. Of all quarterbacks to have to deal with a changing passing game, Brady is someone who can handle the fluid nature of who is playing or not. His receivers will need to stop dropping the ball, but Brady sets up his teammates well no matter who is going down the field.
Gronk’s injury is a blow to their offensive scheme. However, they face a struggling Eagles side that have many question marks and struggles on both sides of the ball. Brady should still be able to slice open the Eagles defense no matter if Gronk is in the game or not. The team will just have to focus on some things in their walk thru to make sure everyone is on the same page.
