It turns out that Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy missed curfew.

Well, everything is starting to make a lot more sense in Green Bay.

After Eddie Lacy mysteriously stood on the sidelines against the Detroit Lions during Thursday night’s game, everyone wondered why the Packers would bench Lacy after he had two back-to-back 100-yard games for Green Bay. The obvious answer initially was his weight, as many assumed his troubles with losing weight had caused him disfavor with the Packers.

While that still might be part of the issue here, it turns out the reason that Eddie Lacy’s playing status was changed against the Detroit Lions, was because he and fellow running back Alonzo Harris decided to miss curfew, which earned Lacy a nice view of the game from the bench, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN’s NFL Nation.

For Harris, it was even worse, as the Packers cut him before the game. Lacy didn’t see much time against Detroit and was a non-factor for the Packers in a game they probably could have used him in. His replacement, James Starks, struggled at times, including a big fumble that ended up working in Green Bay’s favor for a touchdown.

Whatever the case may be with Lacy right now, things aren’t good as his weight and missing curfew are falling right in line with a year that hasn’t really lived up to expectations for him. The Packers struggles on offense have been mainly because of injury, but Lacy’s inability to stay in shape and healthy at times, has done the Packers no good.

While he had two good games recently, he didn’t help himself anymore by missing curfew. It’s also led to the Packers working out former Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball, who could be added to the roster.

Eddie Lacy is a professional and by missing curfew, he almost hurt his team.
