After being shot multiple times and put into ICU, St. Louis Rams wide receier Stedman Bailey has released a statement.

A few weeks ago everyone feared the worst as St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was rushed to a hospital after being shot multiple times. Bailey was placed into ICU and was watched under the careful eyes of doctors who tended to him around the clock.

Now, there’s even better news, as Bailey has released his first statement since the shooting incident. Bailey posted a prepared statement on his Twitter account, where he thanked the Rams, God and everyone who poured out a tremendous amount of support during what was a life-or-death situation for him.

Just the fact that he is recovering from being shot multiple times is a miracle in itself that we should all be thankful for. Bailey, until he was suspended, was a productive member for the St. Louis offense and he was really coming into his own offensively.

While it will still be a long road to recovery after something so serious for Bailey, just seeing him send out a message to let everyone know that he’s doing well is something that is very relieving all football fans.

The way the football community banded together to show their support for Bailey shows the type of individual that he really is.

Hopefully, he can take the field again one day for the St. Louis Rams.
