When will the Golden State Warriors lose?

When will the Golden State Warriors lose a basketball game? There are seven games in front of them before there Christmas Day NBA Finals rematch with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. How awesome would that be if they were still undefeated?

I don’t think it is going to get that far.

There are plenty of reasons why it could, starting with Stephen Curry still shooting an absurd 52 percent. The best he has ever done in his career is 49 back in 2011-12. Curry is 46 percent from behind the arch as well, also a career high. The Warriors are also getting him rest, or he is getting himself rest, for instance when he scores 28 in the third quarter versus Charlotte effectively giving himself the fourth quarter off.

Golden State is beating teams by over 15 points per game. The 72-10, 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls, outscored their opponents by only 12.1 ppg. Only six of their games have been decided by 10 points or less.

The NBA season is a grind though. Harrison Barnes being out perhaps a month with a high ankle sprain will back-up on the team at some point. Barnes always seems to pick up the slack when the Warriors need it most. Lately, they haven’t needed much help with Curry headed for his second MVP award. One thing about a streak, there is a lot of motivation to keep it going and the Warriors show no signs of getting tired of the attention the streak has brought their team. They actually seem to enjoy it, making them even more dangerous while the streak is still alive.
