No. 5 Michigan State Spartans vs. No. 4 Iowa Hawkeyes

Making their third trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship, the Michigan State Spartans are starting to look like a legitimate national title contender. Ranked No. 5 in the country just four weeks after falling to Nebraska on the road, the Spartans are looking to really take charge of their destiny by defeating the No. 4 Iowa Hawkeyes.

Michigan State has arguably the three best wins in college football this season of any contender: Oregon, at Michigan and at Ohio State. If Connor Cook is healthy and plays well, the Spartans will have a chance to make the College Football Playoff and prove to the nation that they’re not the same team that lost to Nebraska on a fluke play a month ago.

Who would have thought C.J. Beathard would take the reigns of the Iowa Hawkeyes after Jake Rudock departed for Michigan and lead them to a 12-0 regular season record, appearance in the Big Ten title game and a chance to play for a national title? If you said you did, you’re probably lying or just a big Hawkeye fan.

Iowa is the most underrated unbeaten team in the country, even being passed up in the top-four rankings by a one-loss team a couple of weeks ago. However, if Beathard can lead them to a win in their toughest contest of the season, the Hawkeyes will be playoff bound.
