Here are Don Banks’ predictions for Week 13 of the NFL season.
The NFL Season is well into the back half and the playoff picture is becoming clearer. Every week, Don Banks of Sports Illustrated and ScoreBig team up to make their predictions.
Banks has an impressive 112–64 (.636) record on the season, going 11-5 in Week 12.
Here are Banks’ Week 13 Predictions:
The Bills are getting the edge over the Texans at home from Banks, which is interesting given their form recently.
The Seahawks are a tough team and their trip to Minnesota will be a real test for the Vikings, but Banks thinks Teddy Bridgewater can play well enough to nulify the Legion of Boom and get the win. A bold prediction perhaps.
The Bears have been surging as of late while the 49ers continue to langquish at the bottom of the NFC West. Picking the Bears to win at home against the lowly 49ers seems like a no brainer.
The Bengals have been one of the best teams over the course of the year and them beating the Browns seems like an easy pick. Considering the Browns are starting Austin Davis, there third of the year, it makes this pick look even more like a lock.
The Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens have both had down years and are trying to get a much needed win. The Dolphiins have looked better under interim coach Dan Campbell and get the benefit of being the home team in this game.
The two New York City teams square off when the Giants “host” the Jets in their shared stadium. The Giants are in an awful NFC East title race while the Jets have languished in the middle of the AFC. The Giants might be more motivated in this game than the Jets.
Arizona has been dominant this year once again and the Rams have failed to live up to expectations and been inconsistent once again. Even though the Rams have homefield advantage, Banks thinks the Cardinals are too good for the Rams.
The Falcons looked like one of the best teams in the league earlier but have cooled off. The Buccanners continue to be in the middle of the pack, this could be an interesting game and Banks gives it to the home team, the Bucs.
In a game that no one really wants to watch, Banks has the Titans edging the Jaguars at home.
In a really intriguing AFC West match up, Banks has the Raiders edging the Chiefs out at home. The Raiders have shown flashes of brilliance at times this season and the Chiefs are back on the winning path, this could be a game to watch and an equally tough one to call.
The Denver Broncos are riding high with Brock Osweiler under center, knocking off the undefeated New England Patriots last week. The Broncos will get the Chargers on the road and should get another win.
No one has been able to stop the Carolina Panthers yet, and Banks doesn’t think the New Orleans Saints will be able to get the job done, even if they’re playing at the Superdome.
If you need a bounce back win is there a better team to play than the Philadelphia Eagles, that’s the situation the New England Patriots are in and Banks is predicting a blood bath.
The Steelers keep winning despite injuries and the Indianapolis Colts have been all over the place. Banks has the Steelers winning convincingly.
Hard to pick the Cowboys, and Banks sees the Redskins getting the win at home, where they have been formidable
