A look at the matchup for the 2015 Texas Bowl

The AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl offers an answer to the question of which of two most vaunted conferences in college football is the most dominant. With Big 12 and SEC tie-ins to the game, mid-level teams from each conference get to duke it out to essentially shed some light on which of the two conferences is superior from top-to-bottom.

In the 2014 Texas Bowl, it was the SEC who emerged as the dominant conference as Bret Bielema’s Arkansas Razorbacks throttled the Texas Longhorns. Brandon Allen had himself a fine day at the office for the Razorbacks and emerged as the game’s MVP.

The 2015 Texas Bowl, which will air on Dec. 29 with a 9 p.m. ET start time, will feature a matchup between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the LSU Tigers in NRG Stadium:

Leonard Fournette and the Tigers started the season looking like one of the more dominant teams in the country, but severely dropped off after a debilitating loss in Tuscaloosa. The Red Raiders have been up-and-down all season behind talented quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but there is absolutely no question that Texas Tech has the potential to put a huge number on the scoreboard when everything is clicking.

Which of these two teams do you think will emerge victorious in the 2015 Texas Bowl?
