5. The Panthers losing their cool

The Panthers cannot set the wrong tone in these crucial upcoming games, as each player must maintain his composure even if things go awry. Brutal mental mistakes will cost the Panthers dearly, as nothing good ever comes from negative energy on the field.

Each individual on the roster cannot lose focus on the team’s ultimate goal or what’s currently taking place in the game. If one player reacts then another will surely feed off from the vibe and follow with an outburst of their own. It’s easy to take take the foot off the gas when undefeated and staring down at the entire division, but look no further than a team like the Packers to see how quickly the tides can turn. One bad game can easily become two, and then there goes the No. 1 seeding.

Panthers head coach Ron Rivera must reinforce to his team about keeping their emotions intact on the field. The pregame edict should be to play smart and never appear to be out of control, as the latter could cost the Panthers points or prime field position. The players need to only remember that when things are going well on the field they are unstoppable.
