Colts vs. Steelers, 45-10: Full highlights, final score and more
The Steelers absolutely thrashed the Colts on Sunday Night Football
The Pittsburgh Steelers fell behind early to the Indianapolis Colts at Heinz Field and it looked like there might be a tightly contested affair happening on Sunday Night Football in Week 13. However, apparently all that the Colts’ early lead did was ignite a fire under Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and the Steelers offense, because they went to work and didn’t let up for the rest of the night.
Roethlisberger continually burned Indianapolis with deep passes throughout the entire matchup. Whether he was hitting Brown, Martavis Bryant, or Markus Wheaton, the Colts didn’t stand a chance against the speed on the outside from Pittsburgh. Only adding to the onslaught was the fact that DeAngelo Williams was running amuck on the Colts as well out of the backfield.
From midway through the second quarter on, the Steelers scored 39 unanswered points on the Colts. Even with the game firmly in their grasp with a 38-10 lead over Indianapolis, they still couldn’t stop finding the end zone as Brown took a remarkable punt return all the way to the house where he provided arguably the highlight of the night with his celebration of jumping and hugging the goal post. That drew a penalty, but the game was already over as Pittsburgh rolled to a 45-10 victory.
Three stars
Ben Roethlisberger was phenomenal as he’s been most every game that he’s been on the field for Pittsburgh this season. He finished the night with 364 yards passing and four touchdown passes.
DeAngelo Williams looked far from a 32-year-old running back yet again in this game as he had a wonderful night at the office. He rushed for 134 yards on 26 carries in addition to hauling in five receptions for 31 yards.
Antonio Brown continued to be one of the most dominant players in the entire league, torching the Colts in every way imaginable. The receiver caught eight passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns, returned a punt for a touchdown, and had one of the greatest celebrations of a touchdown ever.
