Cordarrelle Patterson has just returned a kick for 102 yards and a touchdown for the Minnesota Vikings against the Seattle Seahawks.

In one of the most anticipated games of the weekend, the Seattle Seahawks have displayed their championship quality with an absolute demolition of the Minnesota Vikings. Many were looking forward to the battle between the league’s leading rusher, Adrian Peterson, against one of the best run defenses in the league in the Seahawks. It looks as though Seattle has won the battle.

The Seahawks’ defense have been utterly dominant, forcing punts on every possession bar one, in which Teddy Bridgewater was intercepted. While the defense has suffocated any Vikings offense, the Seattle offense has looked back to its efficient best. Russel Wilson has continued his excellent form after his five touchdown performance against the Steelers last week, and Thomas Rawls and Doug Baldwin have complimented each other well, causing the Vikings’ defense all sorts of problems.

Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the Vikings will not be shutout due to an outstanding play for Patterson. It was a truly exceptional play, receiving the ball in his end zone. Patterson picked up a couple of blocks and broke down the right sideline. Burning past the kicker he then danced his way into the end zone for the touchdown. While it was an impressive play, dancing into the end zone when you’ve been pummeled all game is not perhaps the move.

The Vikings will now slip to 8-4 while the Seahawks rise to 7-5, both well in the hunt for an NFC wildcard berth.
