The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans will square off in Nashville for a contest that, weirdly, will put one club’s playoff hopes to bed.

Well here we are. Raise your hands if you thought, when looking at the NFL schedule that a December 6 game in Week 13 between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, the contest would have playoff implications. Yeah, all you people in the back with stretched arms can put those suckers down, you liars.
Despite owning six wins between them, the two are remarkably not out of the AFC Playoff picture yet. This is because the AFC South is putrid. So yeah, loser leaves town match right here.
In more plausible outlooks: this is a great game ot look at the future of the league. While both teams are less than stellar, they are both young and show a good bit of promise. Tennessee has played decently behind Marcus Mariota and feels like it’s maybe one or two more years away (a few skill players and bolstered defense) from at least not scraping the bottom of the barrel. As for Jacksonville, the Jaguars haven’t looked completely inept. Blake Bortles is actually a pretty decent quarterback and, with the right moves, the team could be a playoff dark horse next year.
