5. Inability to Put Together a Winning Streak

With a 5-6 record, it is certainly understandable that the Washington Redskins have yet to put together a winning streak in 2015. They have essentially alternated win/loss on the year, and while that could get the Redskins over the top to win the NFC East with a near-.500 record, it doesn’t bode well for them should another team in the division get hot out of nowhere.

Is Dallas going to go on a 5-0 run to close out 2015 and finish at .500? No way without quarterback Tony Romo, but Philadelphia did win 10 games in back-to-back years with Chip Kelly and Tom Coughlin has taken formerly mediocre Giants teams to Super Bowls because of a hot streak.

Really, everything that the Washington Redskins struggle with culminate into why this team has yet to win back-to-back games in 2015. A poor running game, a poor run defense, so-so quarterback play, and a consistently dysfunctional organizational culture all play a part in the Redskins being a middle of the pack team in 2015.

While Washington is one of a few teams that can contend for multiple playoff spots entering Week 13, they may not have the firepower to hold off the New York Giants or possibly the Philadelphia Eagles to win the NFC East. A late season implosion would also surely remove all hope of a surprising NFC Wild Card berth.
