Previous: . chicago bears. 20. team. 57.
The Chicago Bears looked like they were streaking lately, winning three of the last four and the lone loss coming to a great Denver Broncos team. But all that optimism went off the rails on Sunday when the Chicago Bears got beat by a San Francisco 49ers team that is at the bottom of the NFC West.

The game went to overtime and the Bears got a huge stop to force the 49ers to punt after three plays. Great way to start off over time, now all the Bears needed was a field goal to win. But the 49ers held the Bears to a three-and-out and forced them to punt as well. The very first play on the next drive was a 71-yard touchdown reception to Torrey Smith from Blaine Gabbert.

BLAINE GABBERT!

The Bears let this one slip away in overtime, they also missed a 36-yard field goal at the end of regulation which would’ve won them the game. Needless to say, the Bears didn’t want to win.

Next week the Bears host the Washington Redskins, who have been awful away from home so it could be an opportunity for the Bears to right the ship. It might be too little, too late to get into the playoff picture however.
. (5-7)
