Previous: . new england patriots. 2. team. 47. <p>The New England Patriots lost their first game of the season against the Denver Broncos last week on Sunday Night Football but it was all going to be okay because they were going to get a win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.</p> <p>But the Patriots couldn’t keep mustering up magic to overcome the injuries that have ravaged their team and dropped their second game of the season. The Patriots were their own worst enemy in this game as well. A blocked punt at the end of the second half was returned by Najee Goode for a touchdown. Then a 99-yard interception return from Malcolm Jenkins gave the Eagles the lead. Darren Sproles then extended the lead to two touchdowns with an 83-yard punt return.</p> <p>The Patriots and Brady made a valiant effort at a comeback to bring some drama back into the game and it looked like a miracle might happen, but it wasn’t to be.</p> <p>Patriots fans should be a bit cautious, they’re struggling and the end of the season could be ugly. But they’ll hopefully get players returning from injury before the playoffs to make another run at the Super Bowl.</p> <p>That or Bill Belichick will find a way to win with his spare parts.</p>
