Russell Wilson hits Doug Baldwin for 53-yard TD (Video)
By Ian O'Brien
Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin continued to quietly be a lethal duo against the Minnesota Vikings.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson continues to stay hot, as he now has four total touchdowns for the Seahawks in their dominance over the Minnesota Vikings. Although the Vikings have responded with a return touchdown, the Seahawks took a 35-0 lead with wide receiver Doug Baldwin scoring on a 53-yard touchdown catch. Here is a video of Baldwin scoring for the second time against the Vikings.
The Seahawks are clearly out of the woods, as they are on the verge of winning their third consecutive game. The Seahawks are showing glimpses of a Super Bowl squad once again, as they firing on all cylinders. Wilson now has 12 total touchdowns in his last three games as of this last scoring drive, and he has not turned the ball over during that span. Baldwin has come up with 295 receiving yards and three touchdown catches during Wilson’s incredible run. Although the Arizona Cardinals hold a strong lead in the NFC West, the Seahawks are making a playoff trip even more likely.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are squandering an opportunity to hold onto their lead in the NFC North. Assuming the Seahawks hold on for the win, the Vikings will be tied for the NFC North lead with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have an 8-4 record after a miraculous comeback against the Detroit Lions that ended with a Hail Mary touchdown. They currently hold the tiebreaker advantage over the Vikings since they defeated them head-to-head.
