Russell Wilson used his legs to find the end zone against the Vikings in Week 13

The Seattle Seahawks have started clicking in recent weeks, looking much more like the team that was in last year’s Super Bowl than the team that started this season. A big part of that has been quarterback Russell Wilson really hitting his stride. That didn’t stop in Week 13 as the Seahawks took on the Minnesota Vikings.

After having already moved the ball for most of the first half quite effectively using his arm, Wilson decided to put his rushing prowess into the mix. In the red zone, Wilson dropped back to pass and looked to step up in the pocket. He then saw his lane and took off up the field, eluding the Minnesota defense all the way to the end zone:

Remarkably considering Wilson’s abilities as a runner, that was the Seahawks quarterback’s first rushing touchdown since Week 16 of the 2014 season. However, that again just fits into the narrative that Wilson and the Seahawks are really hitting their stride right now.

That Wilson rushing touchdown put Seattle up 14-0 in the first half over the Vikings, who have been one of the best defensive teams in the league this season. Things seem to be falling into place for Wilson and the Seahawks to make yet another run into the postseason.
