Twitter had something to say about TEAM being the No. 6 team in the final CFP Rankings

After the conference championship games on Saturday afternoon, there wasn’t much drama left as to which four teams would be competing in the College Football Playoff this season. The only real question was coming into the selection was which teams would be just on the outside looking in on the top-four. Not only is it intriguing to see who the committee considered to be the six best teams in football, but also to see people react.

On Sunday as the final rankings were announced, it was the Stanford Cardinal coming in as the No. 6 team in the final College Football Playoff rankings. The Cardinal finished the season with a 11-1 record after a phenomenal season that was only marred by a couple of early season losses.

Even with very little drama about the four teams that were going to be at the top of the rankings, the Cardinal fans were more than a little amped up about their team not being in the top-four and not having the chance to compete for a title. Naturally, they took to Twitter to express those feelings and the results didn’t disappoint:

"I hope Iowa makes Stanford look stupid."

Even if they’re a bit amped up now, they’ll still have more to say I’m sure as the MASCOT awaits their bowl-season fate.
