DeSean Jackson catches late game-tying touchdown vs. Cowboys (Video)
After not scoring for 59 minutes, the Redskins tied the Cowboys on a DeSean Jackson touchdown
The Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys had been the picture of incompetence for almost an entire four quarters on Monday Night Football in Week 13. However, they somehow saved all of the chaos for inside the two-minute warning. Tied at 9-9, DeSean Jackson fumbled a punt return that led to a Cowboys touchdown. However, he would have a shot at redemption.
Thanks to a remarkably quick Washington drive, the Redskins were deep in Dallas territory at the 28-yard line. That’s when they drew up a deep throw to the end zone with Jackson blowing by the coverage. Kirk Cousins delivered a beautiful throw to his man who hauled it in for the score:
That’s certainly one way to go about getting forgiveness from your teammates and your fans after almost costing them the game.
After the extra point (which was almost botched), the Redskins tied the game after scoring their first touchdown of the night with less than a minute left in the game.
The NFC East is truly unbelievable. Even when two of the division’s teams are in a war of attrition highlighted by awful football, there’s still room for high drama, which came courtesy of Jackson on Monday.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys put together another drive to get a field goal to go back ahead with only seconds remaining.
