Fantasy football week 13 got off to a crazy start with a jump ball Hail Mary on Thursday Night Football with Rodgers and Rodgers giving a buzzer-beating boost to their fantasy owners. As many season-long leagues get ready for the playoffs, it was a fun week with overtime, upsets, and big divisional games. Besides the Packers, the Broncos, Bucs, Bengals, Chiefs, Cardinals, and Titans picked up divisional wins. while the Seahawks kept rolling with a big win over Minnesota. In the two overtime games, the Jets and the 49ers got walk-off wins while the Dolphins edged the Ravens in a matchup of season-long disappointments.
In the later games, the Patriots couldn’t overcome sloppy special teams play in a loss to the Eagles dropping them to 10-2 on the season while the Panthers stormed back and got a win behind a big day from Cam Newton to stay undefeated and improve to 12-0. Last night on Sunday Night Football, the Steelers visited Indianapolis and routed the Colts 45-10 to close out a busy Sunday of football.
To highlight the most important fantasy outcomes both positive and negative, I put together a fantasy recap of the week each Monday morning here on Fansided. I try to break down some of the biggest studs, the biggest duds, and the biggest sleepers at each of the main fantasy football positions–quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end.
Before we get to the position-by-position breakdown, here are some quick reminders of what you can expect to find in each category. “Studs” are players who came into the week with high expectations and came through for their fantasy owners. On the other hand, the “duds” are players who were expected to perform this week but failed to deliver due to injury or just overall ineffectiveness. Finally at each position, I’ve listed “sleepers” who are some of the players who weren’t expected to make big fantasy contributions but who had solid fantasy football week 13’s and may have some sleeper value for your fantasy team moving forward.
As we head into a very busy NFL week 14, make sure to check back tomorrow morning for my top 10 waiver wire pickups.
