Jerry Richardson celebrates by dabbing

Carolina Panthers’ owner, Jerry Richardson, does the dab after Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Saints.

The Carolina Panthers cannot stop winning. And while everyone’s jumps on the Cam for MVP bandwagon, owner Jerry Richardson, is joining his star quarterback in doing ‘the dab’. The celebratory dance has been made famous by Newton. After scoring a touchdown, Super Cam gets his swag on and cocks his head to the side, lifting his arm up to meet his face. Well, Newton has popularized the dance across the NFL so much so, that after requests from the Panthers’ players in the dressing room after the game, Richardson duly obliged.

And why wouldn’t he? He currently owns the best football team in the NFL, and will be hoping his Panthers can push on towards their perfect 16-0 target and then chase down that Super Bowl. Carolina has been the best team so far this year. Riding an aggressive, suffocating defense to 12 wins, Carolina have already won the NFC South, and will now look to seal the number one seed in the NFC.

It has been an incredible season, and Newton’s prominence has perhaps been the story of the season so far. His willingness to run with the ball is like no other quarterback in history, and his sheer will to win has seen his Panthers’ rise to the top. And now, not only has Newton helped elevate his team to the top echelons of pro football, he’s also made Jerry Richardson a very happy man.
